The Beginning

Im am still in the merge of getting my book. THe book that i will get will be The Weight Of All Things by Sandra Benitez. THe book take place in El Salvador during its civil war in the 1980's. THe protagonist of the book is a nine year old boy named Nicol de la Virgen Veras, and the book is his mental and physical struggle during this awful time. Nicol will experience a lot of deaths and hardships as the book moves along. Benitez's novel is both political and spiritual. It reflects the illuminating effects of war on the innocent. This is an extremely exciting book, and even though the main character is not real, ALL that main events that happen in the book really did happened. One of my biggest reasons for reading this book is to see and experience at least a fraction of what my mom and aunt had to experience. This book is more than just some old book. This book reflects a part of my culture and history. Im am really glad to read this book and i will want others to read it as well, to understand and comprehend the things that goes down in this world.
THese are the words of the revolutionist,
Peace.
